Mira Jelic is a strategic
marketer with extensive experience in internet product
and service development and internet communications.
She leads Cognisi, a strategic marketing firm that
helps clients maximize potential and profit through
an effective use of internet technologies.
Mira began her internet career
as a web designer in 1994 working with an advocacy
group promoting post-secondary education in Ontario
at Legislature. She designed interfaces and lead
project teams to develop websites for a diverse
range of clients in education, retail and financial
services before joining wireless software-maker
724 Solutions. Mira was product manager for the
application hosting and services division, launching
one of the first global messaging solutions in 2001
providing immediate access to more than 90 percent
of mobile carriers worldwide – messaging from anywhere
to anywhere.
She later joined the Bank
of Montreal to implement new online investment tools
such as alerts, options trading and portfolio management
for award-winning BMOInvestorline.com. She has also
worked with internet-pioneers Netscape to launch
an ISP and web portals, and Yahoo! Canada, delivering
online financial tools.
Her experience with the internet
has spanned several industries, and her expertise
ranges from business model and product strategy
development to interface and interactive design.
She has particular expertise in e-communications
planning, digital marketing and branding, user interface
testing and multimedia creation.
Mira holds a B.Sc. from the
University of Toronto and holds several technical
certifications and has lectured on e-communications
and internet topics.
